Good News Media exists to give people back their relationship with the news. Not by softening reality or filtering out hard truths — but by giving readers the context, transparency, and control they deserve.

We believe media bias isn't going away. We believe AI fact-checking isn't perfect. We believe no single outlet has the full picture. So we built a platform that shows you all of that — openly, honestly, and without hiding the seams.

Most news products are optimized for engagement — which means outrage, anxiety, and addiction. We're optimizing for something different.

Americans spend an average of 4+ hours per week consuming news. Yet trust in the media has fallen to historic lows. Nobody has built the transparent, reader-first news platform that this moment demands. We're building it.

Good News Media is live. The core pipeline — story aggregation, bias labeling, AI fact-checking, and reader filters — is deployed and running every 30 minutes.

We grow the audience on free. We monetize on Pro. Low CAC, high-intent subscribers who are demonstrably engaged with their news consumption.

What we provide. Good News Media is a news aggregation platform. We collect headlines, descriptions, and links from third-party news sources and present them alongside AI-generated analysis including bias labels, fact-check scores, and mood tags. We do not publish original journalism.

What you can do. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may share links to stories via the original source URLs we provide. You may not scrape, reproduce, or redistribute content from Good News Media in bulk.

What we don't guarantee. The Service is provided "as is." We make no warranties about uptime, accuracy, or completeness. News aggregation, AI analysis, and market data are provided for informational purposes only — not as professional advice of any kind.

Third-party content. All news content belongs to its original publishers. We link to original sources and display excerpts under fair use principles. If you are a publisher with concerns about your content appearing on our platform, please contact us.

Changes to terms. We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

The short version: We collect very little. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads.

Email addresses. If you sign up for updates via our newsletter form, we collect your email address. We use this solely to send product updates. We use Brevo to manage our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.

Usage data. We may collect anonymized usage data — pages visited, features used, general location by country — to understand how people use the product and improve it. This data is not linked to your identity.

Local storage. We store minimal data in your browser's local storage — such as your last visit time for the "New stories" feature. This never leaves your device.

Cookies. We do not currently use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. If this changes we will update this policy and notify subscribers.

Third-party services. We use the following third-party services which have their own privacy policies: Cloudflare (hosting and CDN), Supabase (database), Brevo (email), Finnhub (market data), Anthropic (AI analysis). We do not share your personal information with any of these services beyond what is necessary for operation.

Data retention. Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. We do not retain any other personal data.

Your rights. You may request deletion of your email address at any time by emailing us or unsubscribing. We will comply within 30 days.

Children's privacy. Good News Media is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Good News Media uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to analyze news stories and generate bias labels, fact-check scores, mood tags, and claim-level assessments. This analysis is automated and experimental.

AI analysis is not infallible. Fact-check scores are generated by an AI model based on its training data, which has a knowledge cutoff and may contain errors. A "Verified" score does not mean a story is definitively true. An "Unverified" score does not mean a story is false.

Bias labels are reference points, not verdicts. Our bias labels are derived from a curated database of news sources and publicly available media bias research. Reasonable people disagree about media bias. Our labels should be treated as one data point, not definitive judgments.

Not professional advice. Nothing on Good News Media constitutes legal, financial, medical, or any other form of professional advice. Always consult qualified professionals for decisions that matter.

Use your own judgment. We built Good News Media to help you think more clearly about the news — not to think for you. Our tools are aids to critical reading, not replacements for it.

How we use news content. Good News Media aggregates news by displaying headlines, brief excerpts (descriptions), and links that direct users to the original publisher's website. We do not host full articles. This model is consistent with fair use principles and is standard practice for news aggregators.

We respect intellectual property. All news content, trademarks, and logos referenced on Good News Media belong to their respective owners. Our platform does not claim ownership of any third-party content.

DMCA Notice. If you are a copyright holder and believe your content is being used in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact us with the following information: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on our platform, your contact information, a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Market data displayed on Good News Media is provided by Finnhub and may be delayed up to 15 minutes. Sports betting odds are provided by The Odds API.
